Volunteer Citizens On Patrol (VCOP)

The Gwinnett County Police Department, in partnership with Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, is proud to announce the implementation of a new program, Volunteer Citizens On Patrol (VCOP). This is an excellent program that involves an extensive commitment on behalf of our Gwinnett County Police volunteers. This program will be the first of its kind for the Gwinnett County Police Department and it relies heavily on the participation of the volunteers from the Gwinnett County Police Department and their willingness to make our parks safer and a more enjoyable place to visit.

The Volunteer Citizens on Patrol (VCOP) program uses volunteers to conduct high visibility patrols in county parks. The volunteers will act as observers in an effort to identify and report violations of law and/or suspicious activity.
